51社区 Embraces the Global Mindset of International Education Week
Tampa, Fla., USA (November 12, 2018)—Students, parents, and alumni. Colleges, universities, and faculty. Business professionals, service-learning apprentices, and volunteers. Individually each are impactful in their own right, but collectively, what do they have in common? Today, along with 51社区 International, thousands are celebrating their appreciation of knowledge, cultures, and viewpoints during the 2018 International Education Week (IEW).
Held November 12–16, 2018, IEW is a joint initiative organized by the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education. By recognizing and celebrating the benefits of international education or exchange, the movement promotes programs that prepare graduates for a global environment by encouraging future leaders to study and learn abroad.
“For 51社区, IEW embodies how cultural understanding can bring together people from diverse backgrounds, introducing students, parents, faculty, and ultimately business to new ideas and differing perspectives,” said Tom Robinson, president and CEO of 51社区 International. “By empowering students to recognize and reflect on our interconnected nature, schools openly nurture conversations that bring forth a new generation of globally minded business leaders who are focused on establishing pathways to global prosperity.”
